OUR PROGRAM

Rocky Ridge Arabians is a breeding operation emphasizing primarily Polish bloodlines. However, recently we have incorporated some Russian blood with breedings to

Our broodmare and stallion pedigrees boast lines to *Bask (through GG Jabask), to Bey Shah (and his son Shah Azim), to Khemosabi (through Kaiyoum), Huckleberry Bey (through Desperado V and BA Bey Elation). We were quoted in an article in the April 2003 "Arabian Horse World" magazine on page 165 featuring North Western Breeders.

"We are constantly considering stallions to match with our mares that will exemplify the horse that we are striving to produce….a ‘unique individual' with classic Arabian characteristics. It is our opinion that the broodmares of any breeding program are VERY important…possibly more important than a stallion, and that being said with the knowledge that the stallion is responsible for half of the foal genes. This breeding business is very complicated. Knowing what qualities a given mare will throw to her offspring, and coupled with a given sire, we are projecting what that match might produce. Therefore, considerable care has been taken in selecting our mares; we are proud of our choices."

In a special featured article on ‘Mares of Distinction' printed in the "Arabian Horse World" magazine, we featured one of our broodmares, Khalua Ice (page 242).

"Khalua , a 1996 bay mare, is a multi-champion halter horse and is also trained western pleasure performance. She combines conformation and athletic ability and she throws those special features to her offspring. She is by Aicyng (to Negatraz , Bey Shah, Bask, Bay el Bey and Bask) and out of Allah Kheyana (Khemosabi, Amerigo , and Fadjur )."

Some of our other broodmares include:
DA Flirtashahn, a Bey Shah daughter.  Need I say more? She is 1997 chestnut mare…one of Bey Shah's last foals. (Bey Shah x Colorburst)

PGN Dezign has been on the show circuit and is retired to become a broodmare.  Her foal was in 2007. She is by Shah Azim (to Bey Shah, Bay el Bey and Bask) and out of a Kaiyoum daughter…to Khemosabi.

We are confident that coupling the highest quality broodmares with champion stallions will produce horses with good temperament and striking beauty, sound mind and athletic body, horses in the great Arabian tradition who are destined to excel in the twenty-first century.

Some of our foals are by the following sires:
